ABSTRACT
Falz wields his creativity not merely as an instrument for music production but as a powerful tool for reflecting and rectifying societal ills which this research has clearly demonstrated. This research focused on the premise that Falz employs discursive strategies, literary techniques and devices such as pronouns, vocabulary, modalities, code-mixing, speech-act, metaphors, allusions, rhetorical questions and repetition to uncover the challenges of corruption, insecurity and oppression, therefore, giving insights on the social relationship between him and listeners.
